NUTRITION COUNSELING
How It Works:
Nutrition consultation begins with the careful assessment of a patient’s medical/dietary history and an understanding of the details regarding his or her personal lifestyle. In conjunction with nutrition education, this information is the cornerstone in developing individualized plans with specific goals to improve a patient’s medical condition and help her/him meet new nutrition, health and behavioral objectives. Learning and sustaining behaviors that improve individual food choices, and eating routines/meal timing, sleep, exercise habits, among other factors, are the primary goals of the nutritionist/patient team.
Primary Belief:
Successful and effective nutrition counseling and guidance for all ages is a genuine prescription for disease management and prevention.
