Leslie Anders, MS, RDN, CDN specializes in nutrition counseling for adult, adolescent and pediatric patients regarding a number of health/medical conditions. These conditions can significantly improve with dietary adjustments and lifestyle modifications. Treatment focuses on obesity and weight control, cholesterol/lipid abnormalities, hypertension, diabetes (and other endocrine disorders), bowel disease (and other digestive disorders), auto-immune disorders, food allergies/food sensitivities, eating disorders, vegetarian/vegan diets, maternal nutrition, among others.
Background
Leslie Anders, MS, RDN, CDN received her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York Medical College and completed her clinical internship at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut. She is Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and is a credentialed member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Leslie has been in private practice in Westchester for over 15 years. Many of her patients are referred by a number of primary care and specialist physicians in the area. She has worked as a research coordinator at the Children’s Healthy Heart Center at New York Presbyterian Cornell Hospital and as a nutritionist for Scarsdale Pediatric Associates.
Leslie was the sole recipient of the prestigious Aramark Fellowship from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for her I.D.E.A. program which provided effective nutrition education, instruction on food preparation, and motivated the participants (at-risk teenagers) to exercise. Effective nutrition education resulted in the participants’ successful weight loss and improved eating and exercise habits. In 2012, her practice was a nutrition rotation site for the New York Medical College Residency Program. She has written for a number of publications on supplements and nutrition for prevention and treatment of disease.
